Dingo dog treat: Dingo dog treats are high quality, uniquely made rawhide chews. These chews consist of a layer of real meat jerky that is sandwiched between two layers of rawhide, giving the family pet a taste of real meat in its snack. These treats are claimed to clean the teeth.
Gourmet dog treat, natural dog treat, healthy dog treat, organic dog treat: There are no federal guidelines that define these kinds of dog treats. However, gourmet dog treats appear to be defined in general as freshly made treats that have ingredients of human food quality ingredients. These kind of treats are usually sold by small bakeries devoted to dog treats or bakery chains.
Greenies dog treat: These toothbrush-shaped treats are intended for use by dogs that do not gulp their food and do not tear off large chunks at a time. They are marketed as 100% edible treats that freshen the dog's breath by virtue of the chlorophyll that they contain. While these treats are 100% edible, however, they are only about 85% digestible. Therefore, these treats should be given only when the dog is under supervision.
